Community & Educational Projects

Through The Little Learners Initiative via the Youth Corps Leaders Programme, I've had the opportunity to co-lead a team in designing and delivering programmes that cater to the holistic needs of children from low-income backgrounds aged 7-12.

This experience has allowed me to develop hands-on skills in event and programme planning, while deepening my understanding of the unique needs and dynamics of this age group. I've learned to adapt and innovate to create engaging and impactful sessions that nurture their creativity, empathy, and life skills.

I first joined Access Singapore as a workshop facilitator, supporting students from non-traditional backgrounds through career exploration and confidence-building programmes. This later developed into a Projects Internship, where I became involved more broadly in programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, communications and event support.

During my internship, I supported initiatives under the Access Fellowship Programme and Access Alumni Network, working with students, schools and corporate partners. My contributions included developing the Project Liaison Facilitator role, supporting alumni and impact-related content, revamping Presentation Day into a mock career convention, and leading an NUS Law Masterclass on employment rights.

Through both roles, I gained a deeper understanding of how social mobility programmes are designed and delivered, while developing skills in facilitation, stakeholder management, project coordination and communicating across different groups.

Video Editing

Kickstarter Videos - First Shot(s) X-Change

As Co-Head of the Marketing Team for First Shot(s) X-Change, a 10-day virtual exchange programme, I worked with students from Republic Polytechnic and universities in Thailand, Vietnam, and China.

I contributed to creating marketing deliverables like introductory videos for participants and the programme's challenge.

These efforts helped to facilitate engagement among the programme's participants. I developed skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and executing marketing strategies in a multicultural environment.

Passion Projects

Introduction Videos - First Shot(s) X-Change

I have worked with Suzhou University of Science and Technology (China), among other partner universities, such as Rangsit University (Thailand), and the University of Economics HCMC (Vietnam), through First Shot(s) X-Change.

Through this, I learned about the importance of branding through marketing, such as showcasing First Shots' vision of future collaboration through intercultural and interdisciplinary learning.

Marketing Campaign - Today, We Coook!

As part of the GiveAsia Storytelling For Good Bootcamp, I co-created "Today, We Coook!", a marketing campaign with a team of 3 to support the Lengkok Bahru community fridge.

The campaign aimed to raise donations and awareness for food accessibility, aligning with my passion for inclusivity. We reached over 40k+ views across platforms, amplifying our impact and sparking conversations about community support.

To Singapore, From Singapore

To Singapore, From Singapore is a youth-led magazine I created to celebrate the voices, reflections, and creative work of Singaporeans. The magazine provides a space for local youths to share stories, art, opinions, and memories — especially in a society where personal expression can sometimes feel limited. Our goal is to give young creatives a platform to shape their own narrative of the little red dot.

In building this project, I designed the concept, wrote the editorial direction, and crafted a community-focused space that encourages authenticity and connection. It reflects my passion for storytelling, cultural identity, and creating meaningful platforms where young people can express who they are and what Singapore means to them.

Press Theory

Press Theory is a collection of analytical pieces where I applied sociological and media theories to real-world news stories. Across topics such as the attention-seeking phenomenon in today's online culture, Hunger and Human Rights, and Cultural Memory and Identity in the 2000s, I examined how current events are linked to social theories studied throughout human history.

Through these articles, I developed a strong ability to connect theory to lived reality, analysing framing, agenda-setting, and symbolic narratives to reveal the hidden structures behind everyday media. This strengthened my skills in critical analysis, research writing, and interpreting how language shapes collective understanding.
